Welcome, welcome you sparkly little starfish! Congratulations, you’ve made it to the end of the year. To celebrate, we’re throwing together some ‘fit ideas for all the different version of NYE on your calendar.
Turning Pages & Turning Heads
CM: I don’t know about you, but I can’t WAIT for this year to be over. I don’t think I’ve ever been challenged more in my life—in all aspects. I do think that 2025 will also be incredibly challenging, but at least I’m going in prepared. SO in the spirit of all things sparkly, sharing a few of my NYE fits for yous.
AB: This year was all about change for me. I learned about grace, I learned about adapting, and resilience. And I do believe my closet is a reflection of that. (: Here’s to us! The best (shopping reccos) are yet to come.
Fit #1: Sparkly Tights

CM: Listen, this can basically turn any outfit into a festive New Year outfit. Amiright? I paired my shimmery plum tights with this drop waist dress and some simple black heels.
I also really wanted to make a version like this work, but I’m still working on finding the right sweater + underwear combo to pair with the gorgeous Khaite-dupe my mom made for me (it’s identical to the real one). I’m thinking this sweater would do nicely, or this one.
AB: *Chefs kiss*
Fit #2: The Sheer Shirt
CM: I see this two ways—casual but cute, or bold af. Imagine: this top + this belt (or this one) + these flats. Simple, cute and chic. YUM.
OR go all in. Same top, but add these pants + some cutie patootie boots. You could even up the ante and go country!!! Add some sparkle and glitter, ofc.
Fit #3: Comfy + Cute
CM: So, I’ll be honest. This entire outfit is actually my current moda operandi. And, I will confess, I did wear this to dinner the other night. BUT nonetheless, it’s a perfect substitute if you’re staying in, or keeping things low-ish key and comfortable, but still cute. The formula is simple: cozy, oversized sweater (option 2 + option 3) + jeans that add a little dimension + the cutest socks you got (add some glitter if you’re feeling it) + loafers OR a Mary Jane flat + last but not least, a lil silk scarf action (mine is a vintage Oscar de la Renta that I found in high school at a secondhand shop). Naturally, I’ve provided 11,000 options for you:
AB: Here’s a few * more* vintage options (you’re welcome):
AB: I’m feeling sexy this year. *gasp!* I know. Think Victoria Beckham is what I’m going for. A fun and comfy lingerie dress, with a straight leg pant to match. Grounded by of course an Alohas flats, or a pointy bi*^%y heel!
AB: However, what I actually packed to wear was a cute vintage Armani appliqué tank top (this exact one) and a leopard silk midi skirt with boots (let’s pretend these Pradas are the ones I have) and a leather trench. Viola!!
AB: Now’s the time to pull out your vintage jewelry! Silver is a personal fav this time of year.
Deep Cuts

CM: Apparently, I’ve loved getting dressed this winter. I’ve also really loved my loafers this year. So, thought I’d share some proof and some inspo!
AB: One look from AB this season is a simple all black look in different textures. COMFY CITY!
Before You Go
CM: Can’t wait to see what 2025 brings us. Also, can’t wait to brainstorm some goals that I’ll only half commit to, oops!
AB: See you on the other side, Outfit Repeaters!!
Happy New Year! Ciao for now. xx
